For my final year project at the University of Sussex, BSc Computing for Digital Media, I developed the game Underneath, a walking simulator game enriched with additional interactive elements.
Diverging from traditional walking simulators, I incorporated a more sophisticated parkour action system, enabling the character to navigate through complex environments with greater agility. Additionally, I integrated a unique camera mode that allows interation with points of interest within the scene. This feature enhances player engagement by unlocking entries in the protagonist's journal based on the content of the photographs, gradually unveiling the game's story.

In the development of the game, I leveraged the latest version of Unreal Engine, utilising its state-of-the-art features to enhance the creation. This included the implementation of Nanite virtualised geometry, Lumen global illumination, and MetaHumans for the game character.
